Our Story and Values
At The Wash Tub, we have dedicated over 30 years to providing our customers with convenience, friendly service, and a strong sense of community. It all began with my parents, Al and Dorothy Vizza, in the 1980s. My dad worked with car wash entrepreneurs, helping them plan locations and install equipment across South Texas. In 1986, we leaped and opened our first car wash on Blanco Road in San Antonio.
We proudly remain a family-owned and operated business, grounded in the values of hard work, honesty, community, and plenty of laughter. Our employees embody this work ethic and integrity every day. Today, The Wash Tub has expanded to 25 locations, employs over 1,300 team members, and washes approximately 1.7 million cars annually.
We treat every customer with the warmth and care that my parents would have offered their guests—minus the plate of spaghetti! I hope to serve you soon, and as my father always said, “Go make a nice day!”

Our Journey Through the Years
1986
The Vizza family opens the first Wash Tub location on Blanco Road, San Antonio, beginning a proud tradition of car care excellence.
1990
Celebrated the opening of our 5th location on Broadway, San Antonio.
1996
Introduced the first Wash Tub Boutique at our new DeZavala location.
2000
Expanded our footprint into New Braunfels.
2001
Continued growth with new locations in Round Rock and Georgetown.
2003
Reached a milestone with the opening of our 15th location in Kerrville.
2014
Celebrated the opening of our 20th location in New Braunfels.
2020
Achieved the remarkable milestone of 25 locations across Texas, supported by over 1,000 dedicated team members.
2022
Giovanni Vizza, 3rd generation of the Vizza family, steps into a leadership role.

Honored as the #1 BEST CAR WASH in San Antonio, marking the first of many such accolades.
